Reel Tight conquers the Cap Cana Classic 2022

The eighteenth edition culminated with 106 pieces duly released, of which 102 corresponded to the blue species, three whites and one Sailfish.

An extraordinary performance on the third and last day of the Cap Cana Classic Blue Marlin 2022 of the fishermen who sailed in the Reel Tight boat led them to conquer the first place in the highest category (Pro) of the tournament under the direction of Salvador Egea and with the participation of professionals from the United States, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.

The eighteenth edition culminated with 106 pieces duly released, of which 102 corresponded to the blue species, three whites and one Sailfish. More than 25 boats participated in the two categories of the tournament.

Anglers Tim Maddock and Ricardo Núñez, from the winning boat, released five and four blue marlin each to complete nine pieces on the final day. A tenth blue marlin was released by Omar Nunez on the first day of the tournament. The boat concluded the joust with 3,000 thousand points, followed by Lasik with 2,400 and Marlin Darlin with 2,100 points.

In Lasik, Gabriel and Miguel Santiago distinguished themselves, while Marlin Darlin counted on the rods of Dallas Hopper, Humberto Quintana and Alexander Dervyshire.

In the Semi-Pro, first place went to Euphoria with 1,800 points, followed by Sea Wish and Crushing It, both with 1,500 points. Fourth place went to Isabella with 1,200 points.Cap Cana Classic

Individual

Top overall angler was Tim Maddock, with five blue marlin released for 1,500 points. The lady angler of the year was Nathalie Rodríguez, on Doña Lucy. The juvenile angler award was won by Gabriel Santiago on Lasik.
