Tourism in Cada Rincón Pone el Son this Sunday in Los Pepines, Santiago

Santiago, with its endless tourist potential, is the province chosen for “Tourism in Every Corner” which arrives this Sunday, December 18, with a display of its potential cultural wealth.

It will begin with the presentations of the folkloric ballet and typical ensemble of the Ministry of Tourism, the Santo Domingo Group and the musical group “El Son santiaguero”, an event during which music, color and folklore will take over the place, starting at 2:00 in the afternoon.

This event will feature exhibitions of the most autochthonous local handicrafts, brush artists, murals, local groups and community participation, among others.

In the evening, the activity will culminate with Caribbean rhythms of the highest level with the presentation of the Latin Sound Group.

As is already a tradition, son dancers will gather at Los Pepines, giving demonstrations of the contagious rhythm in ”Baila al Son de Antonio KEKA”.

In his last visit to Santiago, Minister Collado announced the total renovation of its symbolic monument, as well as a clear strategy to promote its City Brand, highlighting the greatness and potential for tourism development of the Heart City.

Tourism in Every Corner will also become the engine that will re-launch this city as the main tourist destination in the Cibao, promoting its benefits at an international level and promoting a plan for the development of priority works through a consensus between the city and the tourism industry.

Considering the enormous ecotourism potential of the Central Cibao, Tourism in Every Corner, in its activation as a platform in its first three editions, both in the Hermanas Mirabal province and in Monseñor Nouel and María Trinidad Sánchez, the Ministry of Tourism successfully managed to promote and relaunch the best of each locality, supporting domestic tourism, and as an important step the integration of communities, as has been the objective of the initiative officially launched on August 3, 2022, during an event led by President Luis Abinader and Minister Collado.
