Iberia is increasing its offer to the Dominican Republic by 20% for the winter season, which runs from the end of October 2024 to March next year, once the takeover of Air Europa has been ruled out.
IAG’s airline will gradually increase its flights to Santo Domingo: 8 weekly frequencies in November, 10 in December and 11 in January. In February and March it will also have 10 flights every seven days.
In the aforementioned period it will make available to its customers nearly 125,000 seats with the Caribbean country, representing a growth of more than 20% compared to 2023 and 50% compared to 2019, before the pandemic.
In 2024 as a whole, the company will add some 230,000 seats with the Dominican Republic in the year, a year-on-year increase of 11%, on a route to its capital in which it competed mainly with Air Europa, owned by Globalia.
