Sunwing to relaunch flights to Punta Cana and Puerto Plata next December

Sunwing Airlines will relaunch more flights to popular destinations in the Dominican Republic, including Puerto Plata and Punta Cana.

In early December, the company will resume flights from Saguenay-Bagotvilla Airport in Quebec to several Caribbean destinations.

This includes weekly flights on Mondays to Cancun; weekly flights on Tuesdays to Puerto Plata; Wednesdays to Varadero, Cuba; and flights on Thursdays to Punta Cana. All routes will operate until the third week of April 2022.

In that regard, Andrew Dawson, Sunwing’s president of tourism operations said, “We are thrilled to be returning to Saguenay-Bagotville Airport in the winter.”

“As demand for travel increases after a long year of staying home, we see more and more travelers valuing seamless vacation experiences from start to finish. By offering flights from convenient regional airports, sun-seeking Quebecers will be able to spend more of their well-deserved vacation time at the beach,” he added.
