President Luis Abinader held a meeting this Thursday with a commission of the Dominican Medical Association (CMD), headed by its head, Waldo Ariel Suero, where they discussed various issues related to the health sector and the association’s relations with the government.
At the meeting, which took place at the National Palace, President Abinader was accompanied by the Vice President of the Republic and President of the Health Cabinet, Raquel Peña; the Minister of Public Health, Daniel Rivera; the Director of the National Health Service (SNS), Mario Lama and the Director of Retirement and Pensions in charge of the State, Juan Rosa.
Also present for the Dominican Medical Association were Luis Alberto Peña Núñez, secretary general; José Alberto Cruz Ramírez, Justo José Nicasio and Luis Farington, first, second and third vice-presidents, respectively; Reyna Ortiz, secretary for Women; Christian Omar Mateo Michelis, District Regional and Dolores Menéndez Canel, Southern Regional.
In addition, Coral Pereyra, president of the IDSS medical group and Dalma De la Rosa, president of the Association of Retired and Pensioned Physicians.
