Coral Hospitality will manage a new hotel in SD focused on health tourism.
Coral Hospitality Corporation (CHC) is constantly growing, incorporating new properties and expanding into various markets in the hospitality segment. That is why they are currently working on the operation of a new franchised hotel in the city of Santo Domingo, with 134 rooms and close to a first class health center.
Ricardo Felip, partner-vice president of CHC, told arecoa.com that the hotel will be oriented more to ‘medical tourism’ because it will be adjacent to a medical center, which will also have “three restaurants with capacity for up to 120 people, rooftop lounge bar and more than 1,200 square meters and rooms for events”.
Hotel franchised by international brand
He stated that the hotel will be franchised by an international brand. “It will be focused on tourism related to medicine, so it will have the necessary facilities for the referred segment.”
“Health tourism is a segment that is booming, it is also part of the diversification of our portfolio and it is interesting to have businesses in different segments because this comes to complement part of the hotel expansion that we are carrying out,” he added.
He indicated that the group continues to offer a complete and varied range of services, incorporating new properties and expanding into different markets in the Caribbean, as “we are currently negotiating several projects in the Dominican Republic as well as in Mexico for the Vacation Club division”.
The executive recalled that in addition to the growth in the city of Santo Domingo, they will operate a 140-room hotel in the Eastern zone, in the heart of Punta Cana, in addition to starting work on the Tryp by Wyndham hotel in Punta Cana, a 97-room hotel, with a commercial area of 2,200 square meters, and a privileged location on the Boulevard Turístico del Este, which will open its doors in the last quarter of 2025.
