For the first time, Latin America will host the World Congress on Health Systems, organized by the International Society on Health Systems and Services, scheduled to take place from October 31 to November 4, 2022, in Bogota, Colombia.
The event, in which more than 2,000 delegates from all over the world are expected to participate, will be sponsored by Fundación Plenitud, together with the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo and Two Oceans In Health.
On this occasion, the main theme is “The performance of health systems at the center of the political agenda: experiences to address current and future global challenges”. The world congress will be held in Bogota in November 2022.
Several pre-conferences are being held in the Latin American and Caribbean region to promote the event. In February 2022 there will be one specifically for the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Central America that will be held virtually, between February 21 and 25. The call for research abstracts is open until January 15. The importance of this pre-conference is that it is a preparation for the main event and the abstracts will be reviewed by a Scientific Committee composed of experts from the region, which will facilitate their acceptance.
We invite researchers and public policy makers from the Dominican Republic to submit abstracts of research they have conducted or are conducting on health systems in one of the following sub-themes:
The political construction and design of health systems policies.
Intersectoral Collaboration and Inclusive Governance
The changing dynamics of health service delivery models to promote equity, and the central role of human resources for health.
Comprehensive primary health care in promoting sustainability, and the contribution of new technologies.
Those whose abstracts are accepted will be able to apply for scholarships to attend the event to be held in Colombia in November 2022. It is a unique opportunity to share with researchers from around the world, interested in improving the performance of health systems, while updating on new trends, research methods and research results from around the world.
The deadline for submission of research abstracts for individual and poster presentations is February 15.
