Index and Cruz Jiminián Foundation carry out medical operation

The Instituto de Dominicanos y Dominicanas en el Exterior and its office in Spain, together with the Fundación Cruz Jiminián, carried out a medical operation in the municipality of Villa Isabela, Puerto Plata province.

Thanks to this joint effort, more than 150 people received free medical attention, consultations and medicines, highlighting the importance of these initiatives to improve the health and well-being of the residents.

With these actions, Index seeks to contribute to improve the quality of life of the locals of this municipality, who do not have the resources to access the necessary medicines for their health conditions.

During the activity, on behalf of the Deputy Minister for Dominican Communities Abroad and Executive Director of Index, Carlos de la Mota, the coordinator of the Directorate of Linkage and Co-Development of this Deputy Ministry, Anselmo Almánzar, highlighted that “this type of actions reflect the existing connection between Dominicans living abroad with the country and their communities of origin, generating a positive impact on their development and progress”.
