A recent poll conducted by SONDEOS revealed data on the level of knowledge and approval of the officials of the new government cabinet.
The results show a heterogeneous image, with some ministers and high positions highly recognized and valued by the population, while others face higher levels of ignorance or rejection.
According to the survey, carried out between 18 and 19 August to 1,000 people in the main provinces of the country, the best known officials are:
- Jose Ignacio Paliza, Minister of the Presidency (87% knowledge, 83% approval).
- Miriam Germán Brito, Attorney General (86% knowledge, 94% approval)
- David Collado, Minister of Tourism (85% knowledge, 89% approval)
- Ito Bisonó, Minister of Industry and Commerce (84% knowledge, 81% approval)
- Milagros Germán, Minister of Culture (83% knowledge, 92% approval).
The survey classifies the officials according to their level of knowledge (which is not the same as valuation) and then according to their level of approval (which could be equivalent to positive image), explains the report of the results.
As for the best rated, Samuel Pereyra, executive president of Banco de Reservas (89% approval), stands out, together with David Collado, Wellington Arnaud, Yayo Sanz Lovatón and Kelvin Cruz, among others.
On the other hand, the least known are the Minister of Defense, Carlos Antonio Fernández Onofre (only 4% of knowledge), and the Minister of Environment, Armando Paíno Henríquez (12% of knowledge). However, when they are known, they have high levels of approval.
The lowest rated officials are the Minister of Education, Ángel Hernández (-84% rejection), the Minister of Women’s Affairs, Mayra Jiménez (-74% rejection), and the Chancellor Roberto Álvarez (-76% rejection).
These results evidence the diversity of perceptions that the population has about the new cabinet, with some officials very consolidated and others that still face the challenge of gaining greater recognition and citizen trust, according to RCN.
