David Collado presents recognition to Frank Diaz of Sky Cana

Sky Cana received recognition during the Ministry of Tourism gala, within the framework of the cruise fair ‘Seatrade Cruise Global’. Frank Diaz, CEO of Sky Cana, welcomed the special recognition from the hands of Tourism Minister David Collado for the outstanding contribution in the promotion of tourism in Florida for the benefit of the recovery of Dominican tourism. Sky Cana is the only company with 100% Dominican investment capital that operates aircraft with a capacity of more than 100 passengers in the country.

Frank Diaz, upon receiving the award said, “I am a proudly Dominican businessman whose enterprises have always had, have and will always operate with the highest standards of quality and social welfare. SKYCANA, with two years of operation, came to the market with the objective of supporting the consolidation of tourism in our country, increasing its offer and air traffic”.

He thanked the support of the various authorities involved in the airline industry in our country and the climate of investment security of this official administration, headed by President Luis Abinader, who defends, fairly, the local aviation industry.

Diaz concluded, “Today we have the luxury of exhibiting very favorable results and trusting in God, we will continue to fly our flag at 35,000 feet in the skies of Latin America and the world”.

The special gala was held during the ‘Seatrade Cruise Global’, the most important cruise fair in the world, in front of more than a hundred travel agencies, tour operators, airlines, hoteliers and a large Dominican delegation, with the presence of the president of ASONAHORES, Rafael Blanco Tejera, Héctor Porcella of the IDAC, Marte Piantini of the JAC, Víctor Pichardo, Airport Director, Aerodom executives and private investors from hotels and tourism agencies.

Other leading companies in the tourism sector were also recognized. Minister Collado highlighted the importance of Florida for its tourism trade. Florida is the second most important U.S. tourism market for the Dominican Republic, representing 12.5% of visitors from the United States.
