FITUR officially presents recognition to the tourism sector

The official awards ceremony, held recently, was presided over by the Deputy Director General for Cooperation and Competitiveness in Tourism of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade, Félix de Paz García.

FITUR held the official presentation of the XLII awards for the Best Stands, where the Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic won the award in the “Countries and Regions” category.

The Fair rewards excellence and innovation, as well as the efforts of companies, professionals and researchers to enhance the image of the sector, the diversification of its offerings and sustainable development.

The III Sustainable Stand Awards; the XXVII Active Tourism Awards; the XXIII FITUR-Jorge Vila Fradera Tribune Award, and for the first time the Special Lifetime Achievement Award, all of which correspond to the 2022 edition of FITUR, which was held last January.

The XLII Best Stand Awards highlight the professionalism, design and promotion of each stand, assessing its suitability to marketing needs, its identification with the product it promotes, and its degree of originality and innovation.FITUR 2022

The set of these awards means the recognition of the effort of companies, professionals and researchers to enhance the image of the sector; the creation of new products that diversify the offer and contribute to sustainable development.

As well as the efforts of FITUR exhibiting companies to ensure that their presence at the fair is in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, in terms of the environmental, economic and social impact of their stand.

In addition, as it does every year, FITUR also awarded prizes for research work to promote the evolution of this market based on knowledge and analysis.

The official awards ceremony, held recently, was presided over by the Deputy Director General for Tourism Cooperation and Competitiveness of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade, Félix de Paz García, and was attended by the Executive President of IFEMA, José Vicente de los Mozos, and the President of the FITUR Organizing Committee and President of IBERIA, Javier Sánchez-Prieto, among others.
