UASD Rector receives Dominican Ambassador to Sweden

The rector of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD), Emma Polanco Melo, received in her office the Dominican ambassador to Sweden, Lourdes Victoria Kruse, with whom she will coordinate academic exchanges with educational institutions of that Scandinavian nation.

Polanco Melo pointed out that since he assumed the rectorship it has been his purpose to link the academy with other institutions of higher education.

He said that through academic exchanges, students and faculty can acquire more and better knowledge.

Victoria Kruse expressed her satisfaction at visiting the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo.

She said that at this time there are great opportunities for exchange in different areas of knowledge between the UASD and academic institutions in Sweden, which have already approached the Dominican embassy for such purposes.

Also present at the meeting were Vice Rectors Antonio Medina, Extension, Mauro Canario, Research and Postgraduate, and Alejandro Ozuna, Teaching, as well as the Secretary General of the academy, Juan A. Cerda Luna.
