Hilton’s growth in the Caribbean and Latin America in the coming years can only be classified as meteoric if we take into account that it currently operates 180 hotels in these markets but has almost 110 hotel projects under development, according to the U.S. group, which for the first time will have a stand in the Americas sector of Fitur 2022, where it will unveil its plans for the continent.
The company’s strategy for the Caribbean and Latin America is to seek significant conversions, expand into new or important markets and strengthen its presence in the all-inclusive segment.
Hilton: “We have growth opportunities throughout the region”.
In 2021, the group opened some 15 hotels in these markets in the Americas, including conversions such as the Villa Mercedes Mérida Curio Collection by Hilton (Mexico) or the Almenat Hotel Tapestry Collection by Hilton, the brand’s first hotel in Brazil.
Hilton has 30 projects in Mexico and has just signed 1,500 rooms.

The Canopy by Hilton Sao Paulo Jardins, the brand’s first hotel in Brazil (opened Feb. 4).
The Yucatan Playa del Carmen All-Inclusive Resort, Tapestry by Hilton (opened May 12).
The Hilton Vallarta Riviera All-Inclusive Resort in Mexico (opened August 16).
Mangrove Beach Corendon Curaçao All-Inclusive Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton (opened Sept. 1).
The Hampton by Hilton Grand Cayman (opened September 8).
Hilton Cancun, an All-Inclusive Resort (opened November 7).
The group points out that with the growth planned for the All-Inclusive segment in the most popular beach destinations, it wants to consolidate its leadership position in this category in countries such as Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Curacao, as well as in Turkey and Egypt.

As for upcoming openings planned for the Caribbean and Latin America, Hilton anticipates the following:
The Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya, which is available for booking this Saturday and is presented as a retreat on the secluded east coast of the Yucatan Peninsula with seven restaurants and bars.
The Hilton Tulum Riviera Maya All-Inclusive Resort, set to open in the second quarter of this year.
The Waldorf Astoria Cancun, which will open in the third quarter of 2022 and will occupy about 40 hectares of Riviera Maya coastline.
The Embassy Suites by Hilton Aruba Resort, which will open in the fourth quarter of this year and will face the white sands of Eagle Beach.
