Hotel occupancy in Puerto Plata is at 100 % for the Easter holiday

All the hotel and tourist complexes of this destination located on the northern coast of the Dominican Republic are full of vacationers due to the Holy Week holiday.

According to the authorities of the Ministry of Tourism and the different administrative departments of several hotel chains, the rooms in Puerto Plata have been 100% occupied for the last two days.

The arrival of vacationers to the tourist enclaves of Luperón, Villa Isabela, Maimón, Cofresí, Costámbar, Playa Dorada, Sosúa and Cabarete, increased since the afternoon of Holy Thursday, after the recess of the daily work activities.

In addition to the resort-type hotel complexes, villas, ecotourism cabins, apartments and even residences have been occupied by thousands of vacationers, who as every year chose to enjoy the many attractions of Puerto Plata.

The influx of bathers to the beaches of Puerto Plata was very timid on Holy Thursday due to rainy conditions, but since the early hours of Good Friday, an infinite number of people have been observed in the resorts located on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean.

Hundreds of agents of the National Police and the POLITUR, military of the Air Force and the Navy of the Dominican Republic, as well as lifeguards of the aid and service organizations have been stationed all along the coastal perimeter of the province of Puerto Plata.
