The Kimpton Las Mercedes Hotel presented its tourism proposal in the Colonial City of Santo Domingo, which will be available starting this summer 2024, June-July, when it will open its doors.
The hotel is the first Kimpton property in the Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio of the IHG Hotels & Resorts chain, together with Iberostar Beachfront Resort. It stands majestically within a historic 16th century structure, meticulously renovated by acclaimed architect Rafael Moneo and designer Pepe Deudero. The transformation has given the hotel a new face, seamlessly blending history with modernity to create a unique experience for its guests.
With 130 rooms and spacious suites, Kimpton Las Mercedes offers an authentic taste of the indoor and outdoor life that animates the vibrant city of Santo Domingo. In addition to its luxurious guest rooms, the property features curated dining concepts that will delight the most discerning palates. Zola, a gourmet restaurant serving fine Italian cuisine, while El Patio offers a relaxed atmosphere where snacks and drinks can be enjoyed amidst carefully preserved oak and mango trees.
