Puerto Rican urban artist Darell presented this Friday with his Dominican colleague El Alfa ‘Pakata’ the first single from his next album, ‘Everybody go to the Discotek’, to be released in the coming months.
The song is a fusion of trap, perreo and dembow, uniting some of the distinct genres of Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic, according to a press release.
The song has a music video directed by Rodrigo Films and features both artists surrounded by beautiful dancers ‘that are sure to raise the temperature of many,’ the release detailed.
Since then, he has not stopped releasing hits and has collaborated with artists such as Bad Bunny, Ozuna, Nicky Jam, Anuel AA, Ñengo Flow, Nio García, Casper Mágico, Tempo, Miky Woodz, Juanka ‘El Problemátiko’, Kiko ‘El Crazy’, Brytiago and Rauw Alejandro, among other prominent urban artists.
With the song ‘Te Boté’ by Nio García and Casper Mágico, which featured a ‘remix’ (remix) released in 2018 alongside Bad Bunny, Ozuna and Nicky Jam, which was positioned at #1 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs for 26 weeks.
In 2020 he released his first studio album, ‘LVV: The Real Rondon’, also known as ‘La Verdadera Vuelta 2’.
His major achievements include three Billboard Latin Music Awards.
