JetBlue, American Airlines and Delta Airlines announce cancellations

At least 13 flights in Dominican Republic, New York and Boston routes were still cancelled Monday, I the wake of Hurricane Irene’s damages along the United States eastern coast.

American Airlines, JetBlue, and Delta Airlines announced the cancellation of 11 of their flights scheduled for Monday in the Las Americas Airport’s Flight Operations Center, while Two JetBlue flights from its New York – Puerto Plata route were also suspended until landing and takeoff conditions improve.

However, many travelers went to the Las Americas terminal today, only to have to return to their homes after being told their flights are still cancelled as a result of the storm.

The company Aerodom, which manages the Las Americas, Puerto Plata, Catey (Samaná) and Isabela airports, has asked travelers to contact its services centers for information on flight resumptions.
