End to drinking hours for Christmas

From December 10 and until 8 January 2013

Minister of the Interior and the Police Jose Ramon Fadul has announced the temporary suspension of the 12-midnight curfews for serving alcoholic beverages during the week and 2am on the weekends.

Beginning on 10 December and lasting until 8 January 2013 bars and other places that serve drinks can stay open as long as they like.

Jose Ramon Fadul was adamant, however, that the Ministry would be vigilant to ensure order and would enforce the regulations on firearms and other weapons in public places.
