Colombia, Mexico and the DR already in Venezuela for the Caribbean Series

The baseball champions of Colombia, Mexico and the Dominican Republic arrived this Wednesday in Venezuela to participate in the 65th edition of the Caribbean Series, to be held between February 2 and 10 in the oil-producing nation.

The International Airport of Maiquetía, which serves Caracas, informed on its Twitter account of the arrival of the players and coaching staff of Mexico and the Dominican Republic, while sharing images of the reception.

The Cañeros de Los Mochis of Mexico had their first training session today at the University Stadium of the Central University of Venezuela (UCV), as reported on the social network.

For their part, the Tigres de Licey of the Dominican Republic, the team that has won the most titles in the Caribbean Series, arrived in Venezuela with the objective of reconquering the triumph after 15 years.

The Vaqueros de Montería of Colombia informed through Twitter that they arrived by bus to Maracaibo, capital of the Venezuelan state of Zulia, “without setbacks”, to then travel by air to Caracas.

The international tournament, called Gran Caracas 2023, will kick off this Thursday with the debut of the WildCats KJ74 of Curaçao against the Farmers of Cuba, which will be the debut of the Dutch island in the tournament and the return, after three years, of a Cuban team to the competition.
