Dominican sprinter Alexander Ogando’s results continue to improve and what better time to reach ideal form than the run-up to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Alexander Ogando ran 20.02 seconds this Friday at the Monaco stop of the Diamond League to take second place in the men’s 200 meters.
Alexander, a native of San Juan de la Maguana, came from winning last week at the Paris stop with a time of 19.98.
It is estimated that the time to fight for the podium of the 200 meters in Paris. It will be between 19.70 and 19.60, a time that seems within the reach of Alexander Ogando.
Friday’s race in the principality was dominated by Letsile Tebogo, from Botswana, who stopped the clock at 19.87.
Alexander Ogando won along with the mixed 4X400 quartet the gold medal. In the World Athletics Championships Oregon 2022 and the silver medal in the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.
