DOMINICAN REPUBLIC lost but advanced to next stage

The Dominican U-20 women’s national team lost 7-0 to the United States in the third round of Group E of the CONCACAF Championship, which grants three berths to the FIFA World Cup to be held in Costa Rica later this year.
Despite Tuesday’s defeat, the Tricolor team achieved its goal of advancing to the next phase for the second time in its history and in a row after having reached it in 2020. The match was held at the Olympic Stadium.

The Dominican Republic will now have to prepare to face El Salvador, which finished second in Group G. This will be the second time that the Quintana Roo and Central Americans meet in the round of 16, in 2020, the Sedofútbol won 4-0.
