Adozona holds humanitarian golf tournament

The board of the Dominican Association of Free Zones (Adozona) held its traditional tournament at the Corales golf course in Punta Cana.

The tournament, which served as a stage for the relaunching of this sector and the tourism sector, was headed by the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Víctor Bisonó; the president of the organizing entity, Luis José Bonilla and the president of the Puntacana Group, Frank Rainieri.

The activity, which brought together prominent golfers under the corresponding sanitary protocols to prevent the spread of Covid-19, raised funds for the purchase of wheelchairs for people in need, through the Rotary Club Punta Cana-Bavaro, an entity that for more than 11 years has generated specific actions in the surrounding communities.

Every year, through the proceeds received in its traditional golf tournament, Adozona donates part of its income to causes that have an impact on the welfare of the inhabitants near the place where the activity takes place, explains the president of the association.

The Club received the donation from its president, D’jhanny de La Cruz, who thanked the institution for taking them into account and making such a fundamental contribution to the club and the communities of the region.
