Puntacana Resort is awarded as “Golf Resort of the Year”

The resort was recognized for the amenities offered by its Las Canas and Corales golf courses.

Puntacana Resort was recognized as “Golf Resort of the Year” by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO), an award that highlights destinations that provided quality service to their clients in the previous year.

The resort was honored for La Cana and Corales, two world-class golf courses that offer ocean views, challenging designs for the sport and impeccable conditions, highlighting the resort’s commitment to delivering an “unparalleled” golf experience to enthusiasts from around the world.

“This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team, who strive to provide our guests with exceptional service and unforgettable golf experiences. We look forward to welcoming even more golfers in the coming seasons,” said Puntacana Resort Golf Sales Manager Mark Fraser.

The North American Convention, hosted at Boyne Mountain Resort, provided a platform for industry professionals to connect, share ideas and celebrate excellence in golf tourism.

  • The award to Puntacana Resort was one of the highlights of the event, reflecting its status as a leading destination for golfers seeking both luxury and adventure.

Since the establishment of the IAGTO Awards in 2000, the 660 golf tour operator members gather annually to vote for golf courses, resorts and destinations that have provided “exceptional service to their clients or the industry in the previous year,” the association said in a press release.
