South Korea beats Dominican Republic 3-2 in volleyball

South Korea defeated the Dominican Republic in five sets in the match corresponding to Group A of the women’s volleyball tournament of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

The sets ended with scores of 25-20, 17-25, 25-18, 15-25 and 15-12 in a total of two hours and 13 minutes.

On Saturday, the “Queens of the Caribbean”, who now have a record of zero wins and three losses, will face Kenya.

The best offensive players for the winning team were Yeon Koung Kim with 20 points, Jeongah Park and Heejin Kim both with 16 points.

For the Dominican Republic, Brayelín Martínez (20), Yonkaira Peña (16) and Jineiry Martínez (13) stood out.
