Vladimir Guerrero Jr. will be with DR Clásico Mundial 2023

Starter Vladimir Guerrero Jr. announced this that he will be with the Dominican team in the 2023 World Baseball Classic.

Guerrero Jr., son of Major League Baseball Hall of Famer Vladimir Guerrero, is the first Dominican player to publicly express his willingness to be part of the team that will represent the Dominican Republic in next year’s edition of the tournament of nations.

The 23-year-old starter is one of the centerpieces of the Toronto Blue Jays in the Major Leagues, with whom he finished second in last season’s voting for the Most Valuable Player award.

This season, Guerrero Jr. is hitting for a .283 average, while leading Toronto in home runs (21) and runs batted in (63).
