Edesur Dominicana created with its own resources and personnel the digital platform Edesur WorkSpace, to streamline some internal and external processes and document data, which will reduce response times and the use of paper. This represents an annual saving of RD 50 million, as it does not require licenses or software updates.
The general manager of Edesur Dominicana, Milton Morrison, congratulated the Information Technology team and the members of the Development and Innovation area, and also pointed out that this initiative closes an important cycle to strengthen the institutional framework.
Milton Morrison said that Edesur WorkSpace has enabled the creation of controls and indicators to streamline and automate processes, the quality of customer service and at the same time comply with the government’s purpose of digital transformation.
Edesur WorkSpace reduces the need to access different programs, consolidating all the company’s applications on a single platform. It will strengthen internal communication, interconnecting departments and facilitating their interaction.
Its implementation involves two stages: the first is already underway, which optimizes the institution’s internal processes; in addition, employees will be able to receive training, check their performance, complete applications and forms between areas and even carry out pre-induction processes for new employees.
The second is oriented to customers, allowing external links such as commercial agents, Call Center and virtual office, to obtain a 360ยบ view of the profile of service users.
With this innovative initiative, Edesur Dominicana also complies with the Institutional Strategic Plan 2021-2024, and introduces the digital signature platform launched by the government. It also upholds the standards of the regulations and quality certifications obtained by the distributor.
Edesur, pioneer with WorkSpace in the Dominican market
Edesur WorkSpace represents a request from the general manager, Milton Morrison. It makes this institution one of the pioneers in the Dominican market in implementing practices used by multinational companies such as Google and Amazon.
Through this innovative creation, Milton Morrison reaffirms the level of commitment of Edesur Dominicana with the care of the environment, reducing the use of paper and other materials, thus promoting compliance with the 3R’s of sustainability in the company.

The platform was developed by the company`s Technology Department, whose head is Systems Engineer George Ortiz.
