A total of 4,178,683 visitors have arrived in the Dominican Republic in the first four months of this year.
The Minister of Tourism, David Collado, informed that a total of 704,740 tourists arrived in the country in April by air, which represents a 3% growth in relation to the same month of 2023.
This was reported Monday morning by the minister, in his traditional press conference held at a hotel in the Dominican capital.
While 248,459 vacationers arrived on cruise ships in the same month, representing a growth of 37% over the previous year.
He also assured that 4,178,683 visitors have arrived to the Dominican Republic in the first four months of this year, representing 43% compared to 2023.

Collado indicated that in the months January-April the country received 3,039,302 tourists by air, which represents a 10% compared to the same period last year, 24% compared to 2019 and 30% compared to 2018.
Meanwhile, by sea, the Dominican Republic received 1,139,381 visitors, representing an increase of 15% compared to 2023, 173% compared to 2022 and 234% compared to 2019.
With these figures, the minister indicated that the country is on course to surpass 11 million tourists, after reaching 10 million last year.
