Banco de Reservas will promote tourism investment in the country at Fitur 2022, in conjunction with a series of cultural activities that will showcase the Dominican artistic diversity, within the framework of this international fair to be held in Madrid, Spain, from the 19th to the 23rd of this month.
The general manager of the financial institution, Samuel Pereyra, will preside over a business delegation that will develop in Madrid an agenda that includes meetings with tour operators, investors and executives of hotel chains, as well as developers of projects linked to the tourism value chain.
Part of this agenda will take place both at Ifema, where Fitur will be held, and in other venues in the Spanish capital. This year the Dominican Republic will participate as a Partner Country, a distinction it also held in 2019.
As part of the program to be deployed, Banreservas and the Dominican Embassy in Spain will inaugurate a mural titled “Dominican Republic, reserved for you” at the Santo Domingo station of the Madrid Metro.
The work will be designed by the artist Wanda Cortorreal, resident in Santo Domingo, who will be accompanied in the execution of the work by the Dominican artist based in Spain, Gerson Rodriguez.
In addition, on Thursday 20 and also in collaboration with the embassy, the Cibeles square will be illuminated with the colors of the Dominican flag.
Meanwhile, the business cocktail party, traditionally held by Banreservas within the framework of Fitur, will be decorated with images of the works of the Petromacorisan artist Paul Guidicelli, to whom this activity will be dedicated on the occasion of the centenary of his birth. This artistic selection will be made in collaboration with the Bellapart Museum.
In all, Fitur will bring together some 100 countries, with 70 official representatives.
