Collado fine-tunes international agenda with UNWTO

The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and the Ministry of Tourism agreed to carry out a joint work agenda for the entire year 2021, including issues such as conducting studies with a technical commission of the UNWTO to address the new tourism strategy after the passage of covid-19.

During a meeting, which was attended by the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, and the deputy ministers of Mitur, the secretary of the UNWTO, Zurab Pololikashvili, and his team, offered Mitur their support for the transparency initiatives they are developing.

In addition, they agreed to work together in the promotion of new tourist destinations in the Dominican Republic, such as Miches and Pedernales, and a plan to attract investment to them.

AnĂ­bal de Castro, permanent representative ambassador to the UNWTO, also participated in the dialogue.
