Dominican Republic exempts tourists from having to present vaccination certificates

The Dominican Republic no longer requires tourists to present a covid-19 vaccination certificate or a negative PCR test, the country’s government has announced.

“To enter hotels and the services offered therein and in hotel complexes, it will not be necessary to present the covid-19 vaccination certificate or a negative PCR test,” says the resolution issued by the Ministry of Public Health, quoted by the Dominican tourism press.

The resolution, which has already entered into force, also establishes that activities related to land tourist transport, cruises and travel agencies, as well as tourist animation activities, will follow the same policy, provided that they safeguard compliance with safety and health protocols, which establish the use of masks and social distancing.
