Government to build tourist boulevard in Santo Domingo

The Minister of Tourism, David Collado, announced that the Government will begin the construction of a tourist boulevard in the National District.

He indicated that between the next 20 or 30 days, President Luis Abinader will give the first kick for the construction of a boulevard, which will extend from Winston Churchill to Abraham Lincoln.

The project will have an investment of RD$500 million and seeks to offer a pedestrian alternative that will promote urban tourism and serve as a recreational space, as it will significantly transform the city.

He added that the start of the project marks “a clear sign of the vision of urban development and tourism for Santo Domingo.”

“Our country is at the moment of tourism development and receiving investments,” Collado emphasized.
