At this time of the year, celebrating the Day of Love and Friendship goes beyond stuffed animals and chocolates, because the catalog of options is extensive and varied. This includes romance tourism, according to tourism journalist Salvador Batista, who, through his website Recorriendo con Salvador, shows the world adventure and nature tourism, as well as the historical, cultural and religious value of the many destinations he visits during the year. “Romance tourism is defined as trips that people make in order to celebrate a special occasion. The Dominican Republic, with its paradisiacal places, enchants in this category,” says Salvador, who is among the 25 most influential tourism journalists of 2021.
As in other latitudes, the Dominican Republic has places as if they were taken out of a romance novel, that is why Salvador points out that it is good to recognize that we have beautiful, historical, cultural and natural corners that mobilize thousands of couples to enjoy its attractions on a date to celebrate the month of love and friendship. Puerto Plata with Sosua and Cabarete
An interesting destination for couples who love monuments and adventures.
