Luis Abinader highlights actions to recover Dominican tourism

On his first day on the agenda, Dominican President Luis Abinader met this Sunday with the Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), Zurab Pololikashvili, to coordinate policies to continue the recovery of the tourism sector in the Dominican Republic.

At the meeting, Abinader valued the commitment of the WTO in accompanying other countries to design the best policies and bring the confidence needed to recover the sector.

“Our real objective are the hundreds of thousands of men and women who earn their living from tourism in the Dominican Republic every day in an honest and dignified manner,” Abinader said.

According to a press release, the head of state thanked the support received by the UNWTO to recover tourism in the Caribbean nation.

With José María Aznar and Felipe González

President Luis Abinader met this Sunday with former Spanish Prime Ministers Jose Maria Aznar and Felipe Gonzalez during the first of his two-day visit to Spain.

What was discussed during the meeting between Abinader, Aznar and Gonzalez was not disclosed in the press release sent by the Ministry of the Presidency.

This Sunday, the President also met with the Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization (WTO), Zurab Pololikashvili, at the headquarters of that organization, to coordinate policies that will once again promote the tourism sector in the Dominican Republic.
