Marriott’s Accelerated Expansion: Marriott to Add Two Hotels in Puerto Plata

The Dominican Republic’s lodging offer is expanding by the end of 2021, and has managed to secure the trust of prestigious hotel chains such as Marriott, whose commitment to the recovery of Dominican tourism is becoming more and more powerful.

For this reason, on December 15, the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, will lead the opening of a hotel of The Ocean Club Group in Puerto Plata.

This is the inauguration of a hotel in Sosúa, The Ocean Club, a Luxury Collection Resorts, Costa Norte; a project of the Marriott Hotels International chain.

The activity is scheduled to take place at 3:00 in the afternoon, where it is expected to be attended by the Minister of Tourism, David Collado and authorities of the sector in general and of the “Bride of the Atlantic”.

The Ocean Club, a Luxury Collection Resorts, Costa Norte is a 7-story hotel that will house 76 suites; it also has a gym, spa, swimming pool, 4 restaurants: Peperoni Costa Norte, Rock Bar, Wine Cellar and Agua Azul, among others.

According to arecoa.com, the hotel chain plans to take the first step in Cabarete to mark the construction of the tourism project W Escape Cabarete Hotel & Residences. Also by Marriott.

The W Escape Cabarete Hotel & Residences consists of a limited collection of 1 to 4 bedroom condominiums combined with W’s legendary “WHATEVER / WHENEVER” service.
