The Ministry of Tourism (MITUR), through the Vice Ministry of Quality of Tourism Services, conducted a training and demonstration of Quality Audits to students of Tourism and Hotel Management of the School of Tourism of APEC University.
The objective of the training was that they could perceive all the knowledge and details that are taken into account to guarantee that the services offered in the sector have high quality standards.
The fundamental aspects related to techniques, compliance with regulations and the proper functioning of the establishments that offer their services to users, guests and tourists were discussed.
MITUR officials reiterated their commitment to continue supporting universities with these types of activities and urged students to commit to their careers, as they are the future of the country’s tourism sector.
APEC students were accompanied by Isabel Carvajal, professor of Tourism Quality Management and Control.
The activity, held at the JW Marriott Santo Domingo, was attended by executives of the lodging establishment, while Mitur was represented by directors Jaime Montilla, Quality, Carlos Alvarez, Audit, Vileysi Espinal, in charge of Quality Certifications and Gabriela Collado, Inspectorate Supervisor.
