This payment channel will make it easier for people to purchase their airline tickets in cash through the PagaTodo network in the Dominican Republic.
With the objective of democratizing the skies of the Dominican Republic and the region, Arajet executives signed a strategic alliance with PagaTodo that will allow the airline’s users to access low-cost airline tickets through cash payments in its network of 22 destinations in 12 countries.
Thanks to the alliance with PagaTodo, Dominicans will soon be able to purchase their tickets on Arajet.com and through the PagaTodo platform and its payment network in more than a thousand stations throughout the Dominican Republic. Travelers who do not have credit cards or are not banked will be able to pay in cash and complete the purchase of their ticket.
Victor Pacheco Mendez, CEO and founder of Arajet, said at the event: “At Arajet we are proud of our alliance with Pagatodo and allow more people to buy tickets and discover the benefits of aviation. This is how we deepen our mission to democratize the skies of the Dominican Republic and the region with low prices and the best onboard service, proudly Dominican”.
Since September 15, Arajet began its operations inaugurating weekly operations in an initial network of destinations that include 5 cities in Colombia (Cali, Cartagena, Barranquilla, Bogota and Medellin), Lima in Peru, San Salvador in El Salvador, Guatemala City in Guatemala, San Jose in Costa Rica, Saint Marteen, Aruba, Curacao and Kingston in the Caribbean, and Mexico City, Cancun and Monterrey.
“Arajet now has PagaTodo so that Dominicans can pay in cash at more than 1,000 stations nationwide. In addition, they will be able to count on multiple means of payment, such as the websites of the commercial banks affiliated to PagaTodo, and also the PagaTodo mobile App,” said Víctor Virgilio Méndez Saba, vice-president of PagaTodo.
How will the alliance work?
The customer visits Arajet.com, chooses his flight and at check out selects “cash payment”. A pin is generated, valid for 24 hours, with which the client can go to a PagaTodo station and make the payment in cash in Dominican pesos. Then the customer receives a confirmation of purchase in his email.
Pagatodo Dominicana, S. A. is a company that has a multi-service platform to make it easier for Service Providers and Financial Intermediation Entities to collect payment of bills, loans, credit cards and multiple recharges, in an easy, accessible and reliable way.
Arajet is leading the renaissance of Dominican aviation with the creation of a Caribbean hub at Las Americas International Airport and the aggressive opening of routes at low prices with the highest standards of safety, connectivity and efficiency. Arajet recently announced that it will fly to 17 destinations in the United States to better serve the Dominican diaspora in that country.
