Sky Cana is well received by tour operators from Europe and South America at FITUR 2023

The charter flight services offered by the Dominican airline Sky Cana, supported by its fleet of nine AIRBUS aircraft, gained acceptance in the business rounds with tour operators at the International Tourism Trade Fair (FITUR).

In its first participation in FITUR, SKY CANA held 34 appointments with different international tour operators with a presence in Italy and France, all interested in transferring tourists from different countries to the international airports of Puerto Plata, Samaná, La Romana and Punta Cana. But they also initiated relations with operators and consolidators from Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, Venezuela and Bolivia.

Frank Díaz, CEO of Sky Cana, said he was pleased with the warm reception from the various international operating companies with which he met during the three days of FITUR’s professional days.

It is interesting, he explained, both because some of them have established relationships with Dominican hotels and other tourism suppliers, but also because others represent companies that want to resume their relationships in the Dominican Republic or start them for the first time.

Sky Cana, Diaz explained, offers services with its Airbus A330-200 and A330-300 aircraft that can make long trips from Europe and South America to the Caribbean.

The fleet is composed of four Airbus A-320s, three Airbus A-321s, two Airbus A-330s, totaling 2,203 seats available for tourism to the Dominican Republic.

During the past year 2022, Sky Cana carried out 3,458 flight operations and transported 325,000 passengers, moving 1.5 million kilos, thus ending a very successful year 2022.

Sky Cana, with new business styles in Dominican commercial aviation, continues to make history by implementing new paradigms. It is formed by professionals with great expertise in the aviation industry. It is the only company with 100% Dominican investment capital that operates aircraft with a capacity of more than 150 passengers and with the capacity to make transatlantic flights.
