Wingo schedules frequency increases and a new Colombia-RD route

Wingo, a Colombian low-cost airline, part of Copa Airlines and Copa Airline Colombia, has scheduled between March and July 2022, an increase in the frequencies of three routes it operates between the South American nation and the Dominican Republic, in addition to adding a new route, this time to Santo Domingo.

Wingo plans to start operating the MedellĂ­n-Santo Domingo route with a frequency of two flights per week, on Mondays and Thursdays, with a Boeing B737-800.

Then, as of March 31, it will increase its weekly frequency between Bogota and Santo Domingo from 4 to 5 flights per week, which will increase to 6 flights per week as of July 1, while it will increase its frequency on the Medellin-Punta Cana route from 3 to 4 flights per week. These increases are permanent.

Wingo will be operating all these routes with its Boeing 737-800 aircraft with a 186-seat configuration, to which it has added aircraft to cover its expansion in the region and other routes it has plans to add.
