The Minister of Youth, Carlos Valdez, officially announced the opening of the call for the XXIX edition of the National Youth Award (PNJ), which this year will be dedicated to recognize the “Influential Youth of Digital Communication”.
The call was launched last Monday, August 12, during a live broadcast, through the institution’s Instagram account, in the framework of International Youth Day, highlighting the importance of this recognition as the highest award granted by the Dominican State to youth.
The National Youth Award, through the Ministry of Youth, seeks to recognize and reward those young people who, with demonstrated talent and dedication, have made significant contributions in various areas of knowledge and human development. “In this edition, we want to exalt those young people who have used digital platforms to promote freedom of expression, the search for truth, and the responsible use of new technologies in communication,” Valdez highlighted.
An award that inspires young people to believe in themselves
Minister Valdez highlighted the commitment of the Ministry of Youth, aligned with the vision of President Luis Abinader, to continue promoting public policies that favor the integral development of young Dominicans. “In addition to designing and executing these policies, we want to be an entity that inspires and motivates young people to believe in themselves and to use their talents to contribute positively to society,” he added.
The winners of the NPC 2025 will receive, in addition to public recognition, a statuette, a certificate, a cash prize and laptops, in a ceremony that promises to be a memorable event in the lives of the awarded young people.

The National Youth Award 2025 includes 15 categories, each designed to encompass the diverse talents and contributions of young Dominicans.
