Showers, thunderstorms and gusty winds due to tropical wave

In the meteorological area we have a tropical wave currently located near the eastern part of the country, which, as it spreads westward, will combine with the instability of a trough at altitude to continue increasing cloudiness gradually leaving downpours that may become moderate to heavy at times, thunderstorms and wind gusts in several towns in the northeast, southeast, southwest, Central Cordillera and the border area. Rainfall activity is expected to begin to decrease in the early evening.

Due to the precipitation forecast for the next two days, the weather alert level is maintained for possible urban flooding, flooding of rivers, streams and creeks, as well as landslides in different municipalities of the following provinces:

Tomorrow Sunday, although the axis of the tropical wave will have withdrawn from our meteorological environment, sufficient humidity will remain, together with the incidence of the trough in the upper levels, to produce clouds with showers, thunderstorms and wind gusts in provinces located on the Caribbean coast and the northern, northeastern regions and the Central Cordillera, beginning in the early morning and early morning hours and being of greater intensity in the afternoon until well into the night.
