The Mallorcan chain Garden Hotels is focusing on the Caribbean for its expansion strategy, with the Dominican Republic being a key market to reinforce its presence.
“There are six hotels under embryonic study, because they would not be ready before five years, but they would reinforce our presence in the country,” says Gabriel Llobera, CEO of Grupo Garden, according to Expansión.
The hotel company already has an asset in the Latin American country, specifically in Punta Cana, where it manages the Playa Coral Apartments complex in Bavaro Beach, “This is a timid test to start landing in the market. We have realized that we need a structure there and that is what we are working on,” said the manager.
The chain plans to land in other destinations in the Caribbean, although first it intends to make a good start-up of its hotel assets in a destination like the Dominican Republic before continuing to grow in that area, as already reported by ‘Desarrollo’ (Garden: “We consider the Canary Islands and the Caribbean as preferential areas for expansion”).
