The 68th edition of the Miss RD National Beauty Pageant will return to the Sambil Santo Domingo Convention Center on Sunday, May 5, 2024 at 9 pm, on national broadcast by Color Vision Channel 9.
Around 28 candidates representing the provinces and Dominican communities abroad, will compete for the crown and represent the RD in Mexico, Bolivia, Ecuador and Japan, in the international contests of Miss Universe, Reina Hispanoamericana, Miss International, among others.
“This year, we have a varied group of very prepared candidates, from mothers to artists, who will stand out on our platform, highlighting integral beauty with the firm 
purpose of empowering Dominican women,” expressed Magali Febles, national director and general producer of the Miss RD organization.
“The candidates have gone through a rigorous selection process, in which they must be active university students or graduates, thus promoting education,” Febles quoted. She also emphasized that the contestants will begin an intensive training agenda that will start on Saturday, April 6, with courses and workshops on Catwalk, Tourism, Public Speaking and Diction, Etiquette and Protocol, History, Porte y Proyección Escénica, Wardrobe and Makeup.
Record-breaking event
The event, which broke television audience records in 2023, being a trending topic on social networks and increasing Google searches, will be rebroadcast in the same format for broadcast in the RD, Puerto Rico and the rest of the Caribbean, and via streaming for the United States of America.
The pageant will have the opening costume designs by Suzell Taveras of Bride to Be; lights and screens by Rental Vision, sound by Juan Tejera and mobile unit by Mr. Mateo of Color Vision.
The winners will travel by Arajet and will have teams of image consultants directed by Magali Febles.
Tickets will be on sale in the coming weeks and will be announced on the official networks of @MissRDUniverseOficial #MissRD2024.
