Mella is a businessman in the vehicle import sector and holds a degree in Marketing from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM).
The Association of Used Vehicle Importers (ASOCIVU), swore in Aramis Mella as its new acting president for the period 2024-2026.
A native of Santo Domingo, Mella holds a degree in marketing from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM), and has other specialties, including business, production and agriculture.
Part of his experience is based on his contribution for more than two decades to the vehicle importing sector. He joined as a member of the association in 2011, holding relavant positions on the board of directors, until his position as the first president of the ASOCIVU Cooperative.
“I assume this swearing in as a challenge to continue strengthening the used vehicle importing sector, serving as a bridge between our associates and in favor of the best interests of the Dominican people, for the economic and social development of our country,” says the new president of ASOCIVU.
The new board of directors for the period 2024-2026, is composed of: Aramis Mella, executive president; Donald Sosa, first vice president; Franklin Galván, second vice president; Luis José Santana, third vice president; José Núñez, general secretary; Yissel López, treasurer; and Abel Marte Batista, organization secretary. Also, Raúl Espinal, public relations; José Medina, protocol secretary; Edgar Betances, first member; Elogio De Jesús Ortíz, second member and Edward Perdomo, third member.
Mella, assumes the position in substitution of Héctor Rodríguez Ureña and emphasizes that in his new position he will continue to work closely with his associate members, in order to ensure compliance with the operational management of the association.
