Edesur Dominicana has impacted with 16,758 luminaires between new, repaired and normalized, its territory of responsibility, in the first quarter of the year 2024.
The general administrator of Edesur, Milton Morrison, reiterated the commitment of his administration to the recovery of public lighting and public safety in order to contribute to the program “My Safe Country”, promoted by the President of the Republic Luis Abinader, through the Ministry of Interior and Police.
Of the 16,758 luminaires with which Edesur has impacted its territory, 6,458 are new with LED technology and some 10,300 were standardized.
Some of these lighting projects are the result of requests that arose in community meetings that Edesur has held to listen to the needs of its customers and to be close to them.
The luminaires were installed, normalized or repaired throughout the territory belonging to Edesur, in streets, avenues, parks, highways, sectors, remote communities, neighborhood roads, sports facilities, schools, polling stations, electoral boards, toll booths and network rehabilitation projects.
These works are also part of the social responsibility actions to reinforce citizen security, to promote sports and recreational activities for athletes and families at night, as well as to support the municipalities located in the Edesur area.
Historic
In 2023 Edesur Dominicana illuminated its territory with 51,000 luminaires, including normalized, replaced and new installations.
