Dominican Republic hosts celebration of Italy’s national holiday

As part of the celebration of the national holiday of the Italian Republic in the Dominican Republic, and the 125 years of bilateral relations, the Embassy of Italy held this Sunday the second popular fair where Italian citizens residing in the country gathered.

The event was attended by the Ambassador of Italy, Stefano Queirolo Palmas, who stressed the importance of bilateral relations with the country, and that they are at their best moment.

The meeting, which recalled the Italian village festivities, with dance music and entertainment for children, was held at the Fray Antonio de Montesinos Monument in the Colonial City.

This interesting event allowed the sharing of the National celebration, together with the Italian families and their descendants, with all those Dominicans and foreign residents to learn more about their culture.

The celebration included a children’s show and an area for children with attractions and tastings, presentation of the Sergio Laccone Band, composed of Italian and Dominican musicians, which will present Italian songs fused with Dominican rhythms.

The party will also be replicated in Santiago, the heart of the city, on Saturday, June 24, an interesting event for the whole family, popular, massive, open and fraternal, which presented the best of this exquisite culture. Focused on celebrating.
