President Luis Abinader promulgated Law 41-23 which declares the province of Espaillat as an ecotourism province.
The purpose of this law is to promote ecotourism and cultural tourism in this geographic demarcation, which will favor the dynamization of its economy and the welfare of its inhabitants.
In order to promote its objectives, said legislation creates the Provincial Fund for the Ecotourism Development of the province of Espaillat, which will be financed with a budget allocation in the General Budget Law of the State, in addition to donations and contributions from individuals, national and international organizations, governmental and non-governmental organizations, public and private institutions.
