Edesur breaks ground to rehabilitate networks

The company Edesur Dominicana started, with a first step, the rehabilitation works of the electrical networks, lighting and electrification of the community of La Bombita, in the province of Azua.

The general manager, Milton Morrison, led the hoisting of the first concrete pole, accompanied by the civil and provincial governor, Grey Pérez, and community leaders, marking the beginning of work that had been awaited for years.

Milton Morrison said that the lack of a quality electric service forced the residents of La Bombita to improvise homemade networks that ended in unfortunate events, and that today with Edesur’s works, those tragedies will be left behind, as part of the new history that is being built, with safe and stable energy for the development of this community.

The scope of this stage of the project includes the construction of 9.42 kilometers of medium voltage network; 5.2 kilometers of low voltage network.

In addition, the installation of 24 transformers with a total power of 630 kV, 269 poles, almost 300 new LED lights, and 758 connections with their respective electricity meters.
