The “Monkeyland Puerto Plata” tourist excursion was ranked 12th on the list of the “Best Overall Caribbean Experiences” in Tripadvisor’s 2023 Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best “Things to Do” awards.
Monkeyland is located in the resort town of Sosua, Puerto Plata Province, Dominican Republic. It is an experience for people of all ages, in groups no larger than 15, with an approximate duration of four hours.
The publication highlights that the group travels in an open-air safari truck and along the way observes the wildlife and rural life in Puerto Plata.
It highlights that while visiting Monkeyland, you will be able to feed the monkeys with fruit and then return to the bus to visit a local rural house. On the way, you will have some samples of hot chocolate and coffee to give you a little boost.
