The Association of Hotels and Tourism of the Dominican Republic (Asonahores) will hold on November 20, the sixth Tourism Investment Forum with the objective of presenting the vision of the public and private sectors for the development of the industry in the country. The forum will take place at El Embajador Royal Hideaway Hotel, starting at 9:00 am.
David Llibre, president of Asonahores, said that in this platform the entity seeks to exchange perspectives on the main issues of the tourism sector as a value proposition that promotes the opportunity for local and international investment.
“From Asonahores with this initiative that brings together the main players in the industry, we want to strengthen the dynamism that has presented our sector to showcase the growth of the tourism industry in order to increase the development of this engine of the national economy,” he said.
The Tourism Investment Forum will present the study “Impact of the Tourism Sector in the Dominican Economy” by the firm Analytica and sponsored by Banco Popular, which will show an updated vision of the national tourism industry.
The panel “Regulations in Tourism Investment Matters” will also be held with the participation of Alejandro Fernandez, Superintendent of Banks; Ernesto Bournigal, Superintendent of Securities Markets and Francisco Torres, Superintendent of Pensions. It will be moderated by Javier Tejada, General Manager of United Capital.
There will also be a panel on “New Luxury Tourism Proposals” with the participation of Encarna Piñero, CEO Grupo Piñero – Cayo Levantado Resort; Frank Elías Rainieri, president & CEO Grupo Puntacana – Miches Projects; Andrés Pichardo, president of Casa de Campo and Thomas Becker, president Playa Grande Golf and Ocean Club – Amanera. It will be moderated by Andrés Marranzini.
During the forum, important awards will be presented to companies and allies of the tourism sector for their constant support to the strengthening of the local tourism industry.
