The Minister of Economy, Planning and Development, Pável Isa Contreras, and the new general director of the National Council for the Promotion and Support of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (Promipyme), Fabricio Gómez Mazara, discussed the articulation of the policy for the promotion and development of MSMEs and micro-credit.
Isa Contreras received the visit of Gómez Mazara in his office, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Development, where they discussed issues related to the planning of micro-credit as a tool for development in the territories, with the objective of improving the quality of life of the people.
The Minister of Economy highlighted the articulation work developed with other government ministries and sectors to territorialize public policies, which means evaluating, thinking, designing, executing, following up and reviewing public interventions with the people and for the people who live in all the territories.
In the National Multiannual Public Sector Plan (PNSP) there are 33 prioritized public policies, among them the Promotion of MSMEs.
For his part, Gómez Mazara stressed the importance of strengthening the micro, small and medium enterprise sector as a policy for the development of the country.
Last November 15, President Luis Abinader appointed Gómez Mazara as director of Promipyme by Decree 580-23.
